The objective of the company is to design, write and supply bespoke software systems for small to medium sized business community. Particular emphasis has been placed on the supply of a specific software system, Blindata, to the window blind manufacturing industry.
The company aims to provide software that meets the requirements of the customer. This is done by spending as much time as possible at the pre sale stage. The company will then endeavour to supply a system that adheres to the agreed pre sale specification.
As well as designing, writing and publishing software, Ball Software will support and maintain software provided by ourselves. This entails telephone and modem support, downloading of upgrades, bespoke amendments and enhancements, and disaster recovery.
It is the policy of the company to integrate with third party accounting products, rather than provide our own. Apart from not wanting to reinvent the wheel, we cannot compete, in terms of functionality and support, with large companies such as Sage. We therefore encourage clients to use the more reputable accounting systems, such as Sage, Access, Pegasus, Exchequer etc. We can link our software products to all these systems, and can fully integrate with Sage.
The company has built up particular expertise in the window blind manufacturing sector, and, as well as providing bespoke software to this market, can also provide consultancy expertise in the area of computer hardware, costings and stock control. This is often provided free of charge as the result of a software installation. This fits well with the overall philosophy of the company which is to supply a proper, professional solution for the customer.
